Our Story

We didn’t set out to build a financial empire. We set out to serve people like us—hard-working, family-first Texans who deserve real retirement strategies, not a stack of vague statements and a sales pitch.

AR Financial Group was founded in 2002 by Adolfo Rodriguez, a Pasadena native who’s never been afraid of hard work. He grew up watching his father work long hours to provide for the family—and he carried those same values into every financial plan he built.

Adolfo saw too many people approaching retirement with confusion, uncertainty, and no real plan—just blind trust that things would somehow work out. That didn’t sit right with him. So he built something different.

Today, AR Financial is still family-run, now with Adolfo’s son, Andres, by his side. Together, they help Texans—from refinery workers to NASA engineers to teachers—retire with strategies that work as hard as they do.

Founder & Managing Partner

Dr. Adolfo Rodriguez, RFC®, NSSA®

Adolfo was born in Havana, Cuba, in 1966, and his parents were able to leave the communist island for a better life in 1968. Adolfo’s family was transplanted to Texas, where they lived all their lives. Adolfo grew up in Pasadena and has been here ever since. Adolfo learned the value of hard work, honesty, and integrity from his father. Adolfo married his wife, Denise Rodriguez, in 1992 and has two children: a son, Andres, and a daughter, Alexa. Adolfo is a Shriner and enjoys volunteering at hospitals located in Galveston.

Adolfo became Managing Partner of AR Financial Group in 2002, with 25+ years of experience in the insurance and financial service industry, with a premier focus on the unique needs and goals of pre-retirees and the retiree community.

Adolfo is a college graduate from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and is a Member of the National Financial Planning Association.

Junior Partner

Andres Rodriguez, IAR

Andres Rodriguez was born and raised in Pasadena, Texas. Growing up in a household where he watched his father, Adolfo Rodriguez, run and grow AR Financial Group into what it is today. During this time, he learned the importance of hard work, eventually leading him to play collegiate basketball. The focus of his hard work has now shifted to helping his clients reach their financial goals consistently.

Andres became a Junior Partner with over five years of experience in the industry. His goal is to create a personalized plan for every client based on their current financial situation and future retirement goals.

In addition to a Life and Health Insurance License, he also holds a Series 65 License. Andres also received his bachelor’s from the University of Houston-Clear Lake, and he plans on continuing his education and receiving his Certified Financial Planner™ certification.
